I made it clear I had limited resources and was looking for legal advice on a neighbour dispute that was getting out of hand with police involvement. Mr. East listened extremely well without judgement and gave me very cogent legal advice. Ultimately he did not think it was a good use of my limited funds to hire him as he believed my issues were not meant for a court room as the matter was a non-criminal event though police had become involved. Ultimately, his advice (free) to just avoid my neighbour was so common sense even if my ego could not see that prior to Mr. East’s involvement. He explained how quickly a neighbour, or any dispute, can become a criminal matter if one does not act prudent. Thank you Mr. East for your good will, patience, and sage legal advice in not one, but two courtesy consultations. You are such a gentleman to be so gracious and generous with your time. Since then, I have been dealing with the stress and remorse of being involved in a horrible situation and feeling crippled by the impact that it took on my life. I have developed a weight crushing anxiety disorder and have been unable to be positive in my life leaving me burdened with depression that had me constantly drowning from the gravity of my troubles. I felt that I would never recover.... Insert Mr. John East. Through some grace of chance this lawyer accepted my case and immediately began to reassure and guide me through the proceedings. During my trail he was well spoken, courageous and the true embodiment of a commanding presence in the court room. I was expecting the worst, but watching him in action was something to behold.
